The Jamaican People
Jamica is a lush green and beautiful island. Jamaica has a diverse and rich culture. They are a multiracial society. Their famed motto is ‘Out of Many, One People’. Most of the people originate from Africa and are the descendants of slaves. The Europeans brought them to Jamaica from Africa. Some of these slaves ran away and are called as ‘Maroons’. The Maroons have traditions that they still follow. Jamaicans are also descendants from other countries in Europe and Asia.
The Europeans (Spanish, Germans, Scottish, Irish and English) and the African dominate in the Jamaican people. The African is the most dominant. The Chinese, Indians, Lebanese, Syrians, Jewish and Scottish are also present.

The country’s literature contemporary with the period of history which is being studied will capture ideas, social stereotypes, and environments, and simulations of actual events from the region and period. For example, Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment illustrates life in 19th century St. Petersburg, creating a story rich with characters who might have walked St. Petersburg’s streets. Duisburg was once Europe’s biggest inland port. Now part of its waterfront has become an attractive marina for leisure craft with an amphitheatre and lively bars and restaurants.

Weisse Flotte (White Fleet) tourist boats offer tours around the Innerhafen (Inner Harbour).
The Innerhafen area is just a short stroll from the city centre where the broad Kongisstrasse is lined with shops. Overlooking it is the white Opera House, home of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
