THE IMPORTANT WOMEN IN NANAK’S LIFE

Lesson Objectives:
1 To review the meaning of “tunn, munn and dhunn.”
2 To understand how important Mata Tripta and Bibi Nanaki were to young Nanak’s life.
3 To hear the story of Guru Nanak’s marriage and why it was unusual.
4 To learn how wrong it is to tell lies or say mean things about others.

Teachers, ask the students to say the Sikh greeting with you; then fold hands and do simran with the students.

Art: Summer Drama Camps

Summer drama camps teach kids valuable skills on-stage and off and build their self-confidence. Students learn from professionals in the theatre industry as they explore many facets related to staging a successful production, including acting, costuming, directing, movement, voice, set design and sound/music. Typically, students present their production to family and friends at the end of the camp.

Duisburg was once Europe’s biggest inland port. Now part of its waterfront has become an attractive marina for leisure craft with an amphitheatre and lively bars and restaurants.

Weisse Flotte (White Fleet) tourist boats offer tours around the Innerhafen (Inner Harbour).
The Innerhafen area is just a short stroll from the city centre where the broad Kongisstrasse is lined with shops. Overlooking it is the white Opera House, home of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
